medawareness at 5k run

One of the goals of the MedAwareness team is to support the community by providing them with important information about how we can all work together to create a better quality of life. Research awareness is an important part of that endeavor. When the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Education and Research Organization (ARTrust) offered the community to join their efforts in the support of Immunology, the MedAwareness team was more than happy to participate.

The second annual “Light Up the Night” 5 k run/ walk was held at San Diego’s Embarcadero on Sunday March 2nd. Over 250 participants bolted past the starting line in support of Immunology research. It takes specially trained physicians to treat and manage allergies, asthma and those immunologic disorders that prevent the body from fighting infections and diseases like they should. Any help we were able to give was well worth the effort.
